Sony uses its Action Cam and a BMX bike to create this ‘art’ film

PAINT | A NEVER BEFORE SEEN FILM | Action Cam | Sony
We love it when camera companies show us what could be made with their products; after all, proof of the pudding is in the eating. Sony commissioned creative agency Stinkdigital to produce a short film, Paint, that was shot using Sony’s Action Cam. The film shows a BMX biker using paint capsules to create a Jackson Pollock-esque painting.

To create the film, several 4K Action Cams (FDR-X1000VR) were mounted to three points of the BMX bike (the video, however, is in Full HD). These were the handlebars, rear stays, and a custom rig that trailed three feet behind the rear stunt peg. During the 1.5-minute video of BMX tricks mixed with performance art, a permanent artwork is created as paint is streamed from tubes on the bike frame, and further spread from the tires.

Filmed in a dark setting, likely a warehouse, Paint almost looks black and white, until very sharp contrast and splashes of color fill the space.

The director, Greg Hackett, has worked on other films for Sony, including TKO, which also highlights the Sony Action Camera.

Best microSD cards in 2023: top picks for your computer, camera, or drone
galaxy s8 tips and tricks

MicroSD cards are an unsung hero in the mobile space. They provide extra storage space for your smartphone, but they're also key in tablets, drones, and security cameras. Unfortunately, this feature is falling out of favor in the smartphone space, and most flagship and midrange phones no longer have a slot to insert a microSD card. Even the most expensive phones around, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Samsung S22 Ultra don't have a microSD card slot anymore. You're not even safe if you have an iPhone or iPad, as they've never had microSD card slots.

But all is not lost! Some of the best Android phones and best Android tablets do still support them, and they're still required for use with cameras, security cameras, and drones. But no matter which device you're buying it for, you'll want to get your hands on a microSD card from a reputable brand.
