Call For Submissions: Digital Trends’ Top Tech of CES 2021 Awards

PORTLAND, Ore., November 20, 2020 — This year’s CES will be like none other. The world’s biggest consumer technology trade show is fast approaching, but with pandemic restrictions, the annual convergence of premarket prototypes and prelaunch sneak peeks will be entirely remote.

This means more than ever, Digital Trends will be the optimal gateway to CES, and the best way to experience the 2021 convention. The virtual format allows for an unprecedented scale and an in-depth look at the innovations shaping a better world, and the human stories behind them.

And we need your help! For the first time in years, Digital Trends is calling for submissions for our Top Tech at CES Awards.

Last year’s highest award went to a thought-controlled robotic arm, and 2019’s winner was a redesigned and greatly improved Impossible Burger, which debuted to gagging vegans and gushing ecologists. We’ll also choose winners for these categories:

  • Automotive
  • Computing
  • Gaming
  • Home Theater
  • Smart Home
  • Mobile
  • Entertainment

The Tech for Change award, formerly a subcategory within Top Tech of CES, has grown into its own awards competition. We’ll be releasing more info soon about the new Tech for Change Awards, along with how to submit entries for considerations.

Another first this year will be the Digital Trends Reader’s Choice Awards, which will allow our enormous audience the opportunity to select their favorite new products from the giant technology show.

Got a Submission for Top Tech at CES?

We’re looking for real products geared toward regular people, not businesses, that are formally debuting at CES 2021 and are expected to go on sale within the year. Preference will be given to products we can physically receive and handle. We won’t be accepting vaporware of any kind. We’ll judge entries based on how innovative they are as well as how they stand to enhance people’s lives in new ways. We’ll consider multiple entries from the same person or company, but we encourage you to narrow it down to only your very best before submitting. Please note that Digital Trends honors embargoes and non-disclosure agreements.

Eligible products need to be in our editors’ hands by December 31st. If you have an upcoming product that won’t be ready until January, please give us advance notice. We’ll consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
