Digital Trends was nominated for a Webby Award – show us your support!

DT has been tapped for the Internet’s highest honor – and we need your help!

Digital Trends was nominated for a Webby Award today for Best Website in the consumer electronics category. We’re up against stiff competition, including old stalwarts like CNET and new sites such as Wired’s photography vertical.

The Awards highlight the best of the best on the internet, and have done so since 1996, when Yahoo was just a white pages guide to the internet, and Google’s home page was, well, pretty much what it looks like today. This year’s list includes top tier sites such as Buzzfeed, CNN, Netflix, the New York Times, and more. We’re honored to be lumped in with sites of this caliber.

The Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) – a group of more than 2,000 men and women that includes leading web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities. But the Webby’s also rely on internet readers like you to pick the best in any given category. The People’s Voice vote lets you pick a winner.

So help us out! Take a minute to sign up and vote for your favorite tech blog – and then heck, why not tell your friends, family, and anyone in earshot to vote as well? Phone the neighbors, wake the kids, and get the vote out!

Each year, millions of people from around the world vote for their favorite sites in The Webby Awards … and we’d be honored if you’d be one of them.

Voting is open until April 20, and the Webby Awards winners will be announced April 25.
